  • Worship at St. Paul's

St. Paul's has two active youth groups. Junior Young People (JYP) for those aged 10-14, and High School Christians (Hi-C) for those in high school.

JYP meets every Friday night from 7:00-8:30pm. The group activities are numerous and various. They go bowling, swimming, play games in the hall, make crafts, participate in all night rock-a-thons, and have guest speakers.

The Hi-C youth group gathers together and decides each year what they would like to do. Because this age group is so busy with school work and other activities, the schedule is very flexible and changes from year to year.

Currently, they are meeting on Friday nights from 7:00-8:30pm. Sometimes they go to retreats, they plan and lead worship, and they rehearse plays and share them in worship. Every year, they are invited to Youth Forum at the Conference Annual meeting and in August of 2006, one of our youth was chosen to be a commissioner in Thunder Bay for the United Church General Council meeting.

The Hi-C also does some fundraising and like to plan trips together. Also, every year, grades seven and up are invited to join in the 30-Hour Famine where money is raised for World Vision.
