Children / Youth

At St. Paul’s, our aim is to have a group for every child to belong. Church friends and mentors from an early stage create deep roots for a lifelong faith. We hope you will encourage the young people in your life to venture into community with us.

Children

KFC -Kid friendly Church on Sunday mornings (formerly called Sunday School) is following a new curriculum and model. Each Sunday we look at the lectionary based, scripture passage using several Spirit Centres that engage all kinds of interests and ages. Depending on the week we may have a multi-media centre or a craft centre or an active game centre, or a discussion room to choose from. Come see what we are about. Kids exit at theme time, join in a shared story time and then break out into centres, and can be picked up downstairs following the service. Please fill in a registration form if you haven’t already. Intergenerational picnic service on Sunday. Activity packs at the front of the church. KFC begins again September 10th.

NURSERY – A hosted nursery is available each Sunday through the school year. Hosts will open the nursery for drop offs at 10:15am or you can bring your child down from the service when older kids depart for Sunday School. The worship service is televised in the nursery for any parent or caregiver who wishes to stay in the nursery with their child. The nursery is located in the basement, accessible through the stairs at the back of the sanctuary or through the stairs at the back of the sanctuary. Just ask an usher for directions. Collect your child there after worship.

This summer is a Rendez Vous summer again. This national  youth, young adults and leaders gather in Montreal August 16-19.

Thank you, thank you, thank you to all who were able to support the Soup lunch fundraiser for youth going to Montreal.

All ages are included and welcomed at St. Paul’s.

We are grateful for the large group of volunteers who mentor our young members and so too remember that as parents, grandparents, guardians and friends we commit as a faith family to help our children into knowing and experiencing the daily blessings of congregational life and the abundance of life with God.

Have a question or another idea…

Please see Rev. Michelle or Laura, our Youth Worker and share it.
